Malas Compañías
It is a film production company that was born in 2002 from the union of Hasta en las Mejores Familias, S.L. (created by Bárbara Guirao, Inés Núñez and Urbano Hidalgo) and the producerAntonio Hens.
Even in the Best Families S.L. had produced the first LGBT-themed television program in Spain: Even in the Best Families, which aired between 1997 and 1999 on the local Madrid network Telemadroño. Meanwhile, Antonio Hens had been producing short films since 1996. Our first project together was the short film In Bad Company, made in 1999. This short film received so many awards, its reach and recognition were so great that we were encouraged to embark on a joint venture with the same name as the film that had brought us prestige.
Thus, Bad Company combines the trajectories of both companies, and therefore, we give priority to films with LGBTQI+ themes, highly independent projects that are difficult to finance, new filmmakers, and co-productions with countries in the Ibero-American community.
Since then, we have produced a good handful of short films, documentaries, and feature-length fiction films that have garnered recognition on five continents, at important foreign festivals such as Sundance, Rotterdam, London, Sydney, and Locarno, and at national festivals such as San Sebastián, Valladolid, Málaga, and Seville. We have also received four Goya Award nominations, a Goya Award for Blue and Not So Pink, and a Forqué Award for The Swimmer.
What fills us with the greatest pride is that our films, made in most cases with limited resources, reach the The most unusual corners of the planet to move viewers with a story that, despite being foreign, feels familiar. These are stories of bad company that often turns out to be the best.

ENTROPÍA
Film director Eloy de la Iglesia wants to write an autobiographical film about his tragic relationship with his favorite actor, José Luis Manzano, with whom he has made the best films of his career.
The project is being developed with support from the Málaga Film Festival and the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions.

NIETOS DE TORREMOLINOS
Chronicle of the time when a group of twenty-somethings, young people from northern European countries, met in Torremolinos for a fun yet cultural occasion. This marked a time of change and artistic ferment for the local population, where certain individual freedoms were possible in the midst of a dictatorship. And its shockwaves reached the rest of the country primarily through music.
When, starting in the mid-1950s, the first electric chords of rock and roll began to sound in some bars and private homes in Madrid and Barcelona, the fever for these new modern rhythms had already displayed more than evident symptoms in some corners of the Costa del Sol. The contagion of rhythm and blues and jazz was already a reality in some, then almost virgin, corners of the coast.
